Forestry and Other Services
Staff skill sets and experience include work in forestry, wetland management, wetland conservation, windpower testing, environmental auditing, land acquisitions, due diligence reviews, stakeholder outreach, agency consultation, event planning, marketing and volunteer recruitment/management.
Past roles and projects have included:
- Forestry Specialist in managing stakeholder consultation, data collection and reporting for forests located along the 400 km East-West Tie Transmission Project
- Protected Spaces Planning for four forests in northwestern Ontario • Met Tower planning for 3 windpower sites in northeastern Ontario
- Bathymetry Mapping including the field collection of bathymetry data and the preparation of bathymetry maps
- Stakeholder consultation including Public Information Centres for 18 waterpower projects in northern Ontario
- Public Consultation Facilitator for a forest certification process for Algonquin Park Forest
- Project Manager for stakeholder outreach programs for three forest management plans in northwestern Ontario. Project involved the identification of values and stakeholders specific to each project and the delivery of a prioritized contact plan to work with key individuals
- Auditor or Lead Auditor on 29 environmental and forest certification audits
- Boreal Forest Habitat Specialist for Ducks Unlimited Canada
- Solar project auditing
